I have observed troubling political actions that show a clear neglect for our community, especially concerning decisions that impact our “quality of life”. This has motivated me to run for office. This campaign embodies innovation, transformation, and purposeful representation for HUMANITY, JUSTICE, and COMMUNITY!

Dr. VERA DANIELS, is a SMALL BUSINESS OWNER; FORMER DISTRICT COMMUNITY EDUCATION PRESIDENT; PROFESSOR; RESEARCHER; INTERNATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY, NAACP, DEMOCRATIC CLUB, JCAL, HISTORIC GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH MEMBER, and a .PSYCHOLOGIST that have delivered “wellness” to her community. She is a HOMEOWNER and COMMUNITY ADVOCATE of southeastern Queens, that is there when it matters. She continues to LEARN and LISTEN, focusing on Solutions by prioritizing service over self-interest. “Race” does not matter for a system to work. Nefarious political activities have engaged blatant disregard and disrespect for the VOICE of the community on decisions that harm “quality of life”.
- The economy tasks people to choose between feeding their families and paying for shelter. Food prices are extremely high!
- There is a shortage of affordable housing, and affordable healthcare!
- Schools are failing our youth!
- Neighborhoods are challenged with flooding, dumping, and so many issues begging for solutions…
“I have a clear-cut and concise strategy that will help resolve these issues. There is plenty of work to be done that have been neglected for too long. I promise to fulfill the responsibility of representing my community “effectively” all the time. I am committed to listening, being transparent, and working diligently for my constituents, I seek to dispel divisive nature of current politics and unite to solve problems that pledge our communities.”
It is imperative that economic and social injustices are eradicated in order for a community to thrive and prosper!

- Seek fair and equitable education for all – affording our youth the tools to contribute towards a worthy society.
- Seek relief from infrastructure and environmental challenges impacting communities – like flooding, bumping, roadways, etc.
Dr. Vera Daniels will advocate for policies that empower citizens and promote civic engagement, ensuring that communities being impacted have a voice in the decision-making processes. THE CITY OF YES/ALL AND OTHER INITIATIVES WERE PASSED UNDER THE NOSES OF OUR COMMUNITIES. THIS BETRAYAL THREATENS THE “QUALITY OF LIFE” FOR CONSTITUENTS THAT ELECTED WHAT WAS CONSIDERED TO BE MEANINGFUL REPRESENTATION. DEVELOPERS, LOBBYISTS, ENDORSERS REAP BENEFITS, OFTEN AT THE EXPENSE OF LOCAL RESIDENTS, EVEN AS THEY MAKE USE OF OUR TAX DOLLARS!

I am excited to announce my candidacy for the New York City Council representing the 27th District in Southeast Queens, NY and its communities of Cambria Heights, Hollis, Jamaica, St. Albans, Queens Village, Addisleigh Park, and Springfield Gardens. This campaign will break away from the typical political norms. We face pressing issues that desperately need attention, and it’s time for the voices that have been overlooked to be included in the conversation that affects our community. Our educational system is consistently falling short in preparing our youth for the challenges of the 21st century. A significant number of students fail to graduate high school and are not adequately prepared for the workforce, military service, or higher education. It’s time to transform the narrative in our communities!
QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES!
Quality of life issues are prevalent in our community. Rising rent prices, the housing and immigrant crises, veterans’ support, a lack of parking, neglected streets and parks, crime, and the dangers posed by motorbikes and e-bikes threatening pedestrians are all pressing concerns. It is crucial for public officials to truly listen to these issues—and I have been doing just that. Moreover, they must take the lead in addressing them, and I am committed to doing so. I’m reaching out for your support because this isn’t just about my campaign; it’s about advancing our shared goals and creating a better environment for everyone to live and raise a family in this City.
